Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AAJ ("AAJ," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Aaj LLC, a California limited liability company, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit aajconsult.com (the "Site"), use our free tools, ask questions of Ask AAJ (our AI marketing strategist), or contact us.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

AAJ is a marketing consultancy operated by Aaj LLC, located in Alameda County, California, United States. For any privacy question or request, contact us at saroj@aajconsult.com or +1-510-516-6170.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you provide to us. When you fill out a contact or booking form, request a call, download a resource, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you choose to give, which may include your name, email address, company name, phone number, and any details you include in your message (such as your goals or questions).

b. Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, the dates and times of your visits, and marketing campaign parameters (such as UTM tags). See our Cookie Notice for details on the specific technologies used.

c. Information from third parties. We may receive limited information from analytics and advertising partners (for example, aggregated campaign performance or audience data) to help us understand and improve our marketing.

d. Questions you ask AAJ. If you use Ask AAJ, we collect the questions you type, Ask AAJ's answers, and any feedback you give. Section 3 explains exactly what is collected and how it is used.

Categories of personal information. Under California law, the categories of personal information we collect include: identifiers (such as name, email, IP address); commercial information (such as services you inquire about); internet or network activity (such as browsing and interaction data); the content of messages you send us, including questions you type into Ask AAJ; approximate geolocation (derived from IP address); and professional or employment-related information (such as your company or role).

3. Ask AAJ, our AI marketing strategist

Ask AAJ is an AI tool on the Site that answers marketing questions using AAJ's published guides, playbooks and tools. It is an AI, not a person. Using it is optional, and you do not need an account or to give your name or email.

What we collect when you use Ask AAJ:

  • the questions you type and the answers Ask AAJ gives;
  • the Site page you asked from, and the AAJ pages and resources Ask AAJ used in its answer;
  • your first question in the same conversation and up to the last four messages (at most five messages in all), which are sent with each new question so Ask AAJ can follow the thread;
  • any feedback you give on an answer (thumbs up or down, a reason, and an optional note);
  • a one-way scrambled ("hashed") form of your IP address, used only to apply usage limits and prevent abuse. We do not store your IP address itself; and
  • technical details such as the date and time, how long the answer took, and whether a question could be answered.

Please don't enter personal, confidential or sensitive information (for example names, contact details, client or financial information, or health information). Before a question is sent or stored, we automatically replace email addresses and phone and other long numbers with placeholders. This is a safeguard, not a guarantee, so please leave such details out.

How we use it. To answer your question; to keep Ask AAJ working and prevent misuse (for example usage limits); and to improve Ask AAJ and the Site, including by reviewing questions Ask AAJ could not answer and the feedback you give, which helps us decide what guides to write. We do not sell what you type into Ask AAJ, and we do not use it to build advertising audiences or profiles about you.

Who processes it. Ask AAJ's answers are generated by Anthropic, PBC, which provides the AI model. Anthropic receives your question, your first question in the conversation and up to the last four messages, and excerpts from AAJ's pages, but not your IP address or its hashed form. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it does not use these inputs and outputs to train its models by default and deletes them within 30 days, except where it must keep them longer to comply with law or to enforce its usage policies. Ask AAJ runs on, and its records are stored with, our hosting and database provider, Supabase. Both act as our service providers.

Analytics. If you allow analytics cookies, we also record how Ask AAJ is used (for example that a question was sent and its length, that an answer was shown, or that a link in an answer was clicked) through Google Analytics, as described in our Cookie Notice. These events never include the text you type, and they follow your choices in "Your Privacy Choices."

How long we keep it. Ask AAJ records (questions, answers, feedback and the hashed IP address) are deleted automatically after 90 days. In your browser, the conversation exists only while the page is open: it is cleared when you close or reload the tab, or when you choose "New chat." If you use Copy or Download, the copy is saved only on your device; we do not receive it.

Your choices. You can use the Site without using Ask AAJ. To ask us to access or delete your Ask AAJ questions before the 90 days are up, email saroj@aajconsult.com with the approximate date and time and the wording of your question. Because we don't store names or IP addresses for Ask AAJ, that is how we find them. The rights in Section 8 apply.

No decisions about you. Ask AAJ gives general marketing information. It does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Its answers can be wrong and are not legal, financial, tax or medical advice; see our Terms of Service.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure performance, and support our marketing and advertising. This includes Google Tag Manager and analytics tools, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Meta Pixel for advertising measurement and audience building. Ask AAJ does not set cookies. You can control these technologies as described in our Cookie Notice and in Section 7 below. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required.

5. How we use your information

We use personal information to: respond to your inquiries and provide the information or services you request; schedule and conduct calls and consultations; operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our free tools; answer the questions you ask AAJ and improve it (see Section 3); measure and improve our marketing and advertising, including retargeting; communicate with you about our services (where permitted); detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues; and comply with legal obligations.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf — such as website hosting and infrastructure, the AI model provider that powers Ask AAJ (Anthropic), analytics, scheduling, and email — under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing those services.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. With platforms such as Google, LinkedIn and Meta that help us measure performance and deliver relevant advertising. As described in Section 7, this may constitute "sharing" under California law.
  • Legal and safety. When required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of AAJ, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. "Sale" and "Sharing" under California law

We do not sell your personal information for monetary value. However, our use of advertising technologies — such as the LinkedIn Insight Tag and certain analytics features — may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA).

You have the right to opt out of this sharing. You can do so by:

  • Choosing "Reject optional" in our cookie banner, or turning off Advertising & targeting in "Your Privacy Choices" (link in the Site footer);
  • Enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser; or
  • Emailing us at saroj@aajconsult.com.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you;
  • Delete personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information;
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email saroj@aajconsult.com with your request. We will verify your request (and may ask for information to confirm your identity) and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — to respond to you, provide services, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes — after which we delete or de-identify it. Ask AAJ records are deleted automatically after 90 days (see Section 3).

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites and tools we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

13. International users

AAJ is based in the United States, and your information will be processed in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
