Most engagements begin with a thirty-minute discovery conversation. The goal of that conversation is to understand the current priority, the team's constraints, and whether AAJ is the right partner — or whether a different format (a self-serve playbook, an internal hire, a different specialist) would serve the team better. There is no pressure to commit on the call.

After the discovery conversation, AAJ either proposes a written scope within five business days or refers the team to a more appropriate resource. Engagements typically start within two weeks of an approved scope.

What Happens After the First Conversation

If AAJ is the right partner, a written scope is delivered within five business days. The scope includes the engagement format, the fixed fee or monthly retainer, the deliverable set, the timeline, and the named owners on both sides. There are no hidden change-order clauses; material scope changes are negotiated transparently.
