Schema, Meta Tag and llms.txt Generator
A free generator for founders and marketers who need clean markup for a page. Fill in the facts about the page and get its JSON-LD, its title, description, canonical and Open Graph tags, and an llms.txt file, ready to paste. Each output is then checked against Google's structured data rules and, if you read or paste the page, against what the page actually shows. Every rule links to its source or is labelled as AAJ's view.
What it builds
- JSON-LD: Organization and WebSite for a home page; SoftwareApplication, Product or Article for other pages; BreadcrumbList for two or more steps. Google: "The WebSite structured data must be on the home page of the site" (site names).
- Title, description and canonical: the canonical is always a full address. Google: "Use absolute paths rather than relative paths" (canonical URLs).
- Open Graph tags: og:title, og:type, og:url and og:image, the four the Open Graph protocol requires, plus og:description and og:site_name. The twitter:card tag is AAJ's addition.
- llms.txt: an H1 name, a summary, then sections of links, in the llmstxt.org format. It is a proposal, not a standard, and Google says: "You don't need to create new machine readable files, AI text files, or markup to appear in these features" (AI features).
Why I built it this way
AAJ's view: a block of JSON-LD on its own isn't the hard part. The mistake to watch for is a rating, a price or a name in the markup that the page doesn't show, and Google's rule is plain: "Don't mark up content that is not visible to readers of the page" (structured data policies). So the generator marks up only what you enter, leaves out half a rating, and doesn't generate FAQ or HowTo markup, which Google no longer shows.
Limits
- It doesn't promise a rich result, or any effect on AI answers.
- Reading a page sees its first HTML, not what JavaScript adds later.
- The page-text check leaves out scripts and elements marked hidden, but can't tell when CSS hides something.
- After you publish, test the live address with Google's Rich Results Test.
